Corpus Christi FC (The Sharks) is delighted to announce the appointment of Sebastian Giraldo as head coach for its 2019 season.
The Sharks are the newest sports addition to Corpus Christi, they compete in the Premier Developmental League (PDL), North America’s premier pre-professional soccer league.
Sebastian is known for his leadership and motivational skills at the highest level on and off the field, he also has extensive experience developing both senior and youth talent and has an academic background that is rare in the coaching world. He was CCFC head coach for its inaugural season and was instrumental in the soccer club’s beautiful playing style on the field and in connecting with the Corpus Christi fans.

CCFC had an awesome season in its inaugural season. The Sharks captured the attention of soccer fans across the Coastal Bend.
In preparation for its upcoming 2019 season, The Sharks have announced 2 open tryout dates for October 13th,2018 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM and December 1st, 2018 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Butler Soccer Complex.
More than 70 percent of all MLS Super Draft selections since 2010 have PDL experience, including a total of 66 alums chosen in 2018. Among the many players to have played in the PDL before making their professional debuts include Newcastle United FC defender DeAndre Yedlin, 2017 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Tim Melia, 2017 MLS Defender of the Year Ike Opara and U.S. Men’s National Team members such as Darlington Nagbe, Brad Guzan, Geoff Cameron and Tim Ream.
