Corpus Christi FC Open Tryouts at Corpus Christi, Texas

Corpus Christi FC plays in the United Soccer League as part of the USL2, “The Sharks”, have captured the attention of soccer fans across South Texas and the nation. CCFC has had multiple successful seasons, coming second in their division in 2019 and 2021 season, the Sharks were the second highest scoring team in the nation in 2019. In 2024 the CCFC Sharks were the Division Champions and made to the national quarter finals. We were also the highest scoring USL2 team in the nation in 2024. We are excited to host open trials for aspiring soccer players from around the world.

Tryout Process

TRYOUT PROCESS The tryouts will consist of speed and agility drills that will end with a scrimmage to assess and evaluate the players talent.
“We have had a great turnout at the tryouts and it’s clear that Corpus Christi has a strong soccer presence,” said CCFC Head Coach “I am confident we will continue to see a high level of competition at the next set of tryouts, and I am excited to see continued community support during the next phase of this process.”

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS TRYOUT

DATE: December 7th,2024

TIME: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

VENUE: St John Paul Stadium, 3036 Saratoga Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415

REGISTRATION FEE: $99

Male players who will be 16 years (by June 30th) or older are qualified to participate. There is no upper age limit to participate, A non-refundable fee will be made upon registration online, registration fee includes one CCFC training t-shirt that will be worn during tryout.
There will be no on-site registration, all players must register online on our website. A mandatory check-in will take place at open tryouts and registrations must be completed online 2 days prior to tryout date. Members of the Coaching Team will be evaluating the players and providing feedback.

SELECTED PLAYERS WILL BE PROVIDED HOUSING AND FEEDING DURING THE USL2 SEASON

More than 70 percent of all MLS SuperDraft selections since 2010 have USL League Two experience, including a total of 66 alumni chosen in 2018. Among the many players to have competed in USL League Two before making their professional debuts include Werder Bremen’s Josh Sargent, Newcastle United FC defender DeAndre Yedlin, Atlanta United goalkeeper Brad Guzan and Columbus Crew forward Gyasi Zardes.
