Player Opportunities

The Premier Development League recently announced the addition of Corpus Christi FC for the 2018 season. Corpus Christi FC will play a 14-game schedule between the months of May-August. Exhibition and US Open games will be scheduled for April. The PDL is the top supplier of talent for professional soccer in North America.

Corpus Christi FC will conduct tryouts for next season. Players who are interested in playing for our team and are not local, live out of state or are international players should contact us to help schedule and streamline future tryouts. Players who can not attend our tryouts should contact us with their resume and video collection, this will be reviewed by our coaches. We provide housing to selected players who make our roster and require accommodation.

Nearly 70 percent of all MLS SuperDraft selections since 2010 have PDL experience, including a total of 59 alums chosen in 2017. Among the many players to have played in the PDL before making their professional debuts include Newcastle United FC defender DeAndre Yedlin, 2016 MLS Rookie of the Year Jordan Morris, 2016 MLS Defender of the Year Matt Hedges and U.S. Men’s National Team members Darlington Nagbe, Brad Guzan, Geoff Cameron and Tim Ream.
